The Quick Classic CO₂ cylinders for Sodastream
After Sodastream developed its own cylinders with Quick Connect valve, this had an impact on the entire sparkling water market. In line with this, since 2021, only Sodastream sparkling water makers with integrated Quick Connect system. Since then, Sodastream customers who want to buy cylinders have been faced with a major problem: Which cartridges do I need? In the worst-case scenario, they then desperately try to screw the unsuitable screw-in cylinder into the Sodastream sparkling water maker. Damage to the appliance is then not uncommon.
From then on, buyers of the corresponding CO₂ cylinders had to rely on Sodastream as the only manufacturer of the matching pink cylinders. We looked for a solution to this monopoly. The result is our Quick Classic cylinders. With them we have SodaTASTE have actually developed the only alternative to original Sodastream cylinders currently available.
An innovation that is well worth seeing. These cartridges can now be used as a replacement for your Sodastream Duo cylinders or Crystal 3.0 cylinders, for example. The fact that they fit into your Sodastream sparkling water maker is due to our new, patented cylinder valve, which you can find on every Sodastream bottle. Quick Classic carbon dioxide cartridge. This fits perfectly into Sodastream's pink quick-lock system.

We are very proud to be able to offer you Quick Classic cylinders an attractively priced alternative to the only previous manufacturer, Sodastream. However, this is only the first step. We are constantly working on expanding our product range even further. Accordingly, we would soon also like to Quick-cylinders with flavor. So stay tuned. But until then, we are happy to recommend our special sparkling water offers (wink wink).
With our Quick cylinders you have made the right choice for all Sodastream sparkling water makers Duo, E-Duo, Terra, Art, Gaia and Crystal 3.0. Incidentally, we are not only the only provider to offer an alternative for soda streams Quick Connect cylinders. What's more, if you have an empty Sodastream CO₂ cylinder with you, we can even accept it and give you a full Quick Classic cartridge for the lower price of a replacement cylinder. Changing and refilling your cylinder has never been so easy. But more on this in the next point.
Buy or replace a CO₂ cylinder?
New customers in particular are often faced with the conundrum of why they are faced with the choice: Buy a cylinder or exchange a cylinder? And indeed, the purchase of CO₂ cartridges can be confusing for newcomers, as they obviously want to buy a cylinder on a website. But there are big differences between these two options. Here's a quick overview for you.
Buying a CO₂ cylinder
If you have never purchased a CO₂ cartridge before or do not have an empty cylinder at home, you will need to BUY a new cylinder. In this variant, you pay for the carbon dioxide (incl. aroma) and the aluminum cylinder itself. You can keep this afterwards.
Another option is if you want to buy more spare cylinders. As you can keep these, this option is ideal for keeping them in stock for later, thirsty times.
Replacing CO₂ cylinders
However, if you already have empty CO₂ cylinders at home: all the better! Then you can EXCHANGE our cylinders. This can also be understood as "refilling a CO₂ cylinder or filling a CO₂ cylinder". The process is very simple. Order the cheaper exchange cylinders in our store and receive your cartridges from us a few days later. Take the full cylinders out of the shipping box and place your empty carbon dioxide bottles inside. Then just stick on the free return label that comes in the box, send it back to us and you're done! So you can exchange your CO₂ bottles.
In this way, you are effectively only ordering the carbon dioxide filling, as you have returned an equivalent CO₂ cylinder to us. We can only guarantee the low price of the exchange cylinders because the aluminum cylinders themselves also have a material value. (Incidentally, there is no deposit for CO₂ cylinders on the German market.) We are also the only provider to accept cartridges from third-party suppliers for returns. This applies not only to screw-in cylinders from Sodapop, Sodastream or others, for example, but also exclusively and expressly to empty Quick Connect cylinders (the cartridges with the pink ring to click on) from Sodastream. You can find out more about returns in our FAQ).
Important: Take into account how many empty cylinders you have at home. For example, if 2 cylinders are already empty, you can only order 2 replacement cylinders. All other CO₂ cylinders in your shopping cart would then have to be purchase cylinders. You can remember this as a mnemonic: If I want to "fill" or "refill" my CO₂ cylinder, I must also have a cylinder that can be filled.
The best way to bubble up with our CO₂ cylinders
Using our CO₂ cylinders is really not difficult. With our cartridges with natural flavors, it should only be noted that the natural addition has a slightly 'invigorating' effect when bubbling. For this reason, here is a brief summary of how to use our cylinders:
It's that simple:

Click the cylinder into the bubbler (when Quick Classic for Sodastream Quick Connect sparkling water maker) or screw it in (for all other sparkling water makers with a screw cap).

Simply bubble 2-4 times, depending on your personal taste.
With our aroma cylinders, you are welcome to wait a few seconds between bursts. Press the bubbler button for a maximum of one second per burst.

With our naturally flavored CO₂ cylinders, wait 10-15 seconds after the last burst until the carbonated foam has settled. As an experienced SodaTASTE-bubbler, you will soon know whether you need this time with your bubbler and exactly how long it should take.

Carefully remove the water bottle from the sparkling water maker and enjoy the natural carbon dioxide with fruit flavor. Bon appétit!
We only serve sustainable carbon dioxide
Our CO₂ cylinders are not only sustainable because they prevent the need for new plastic bottles and can remain in the recycling loop for up to 10 years. The carbon dioxide we use is also something very special.
In contrast to manufacturers who use 'fossil' CO₂, for example from natural gas processing, we rely on biogenic CO₂. This originates in biocomposite plants located in the region of our production site in the Thuringian Forest. Plant-based raw materials are used there. These are sugar beet or grain, for example. During an alcoholic fermentation process, raw gas containing CO₂ is automatically produced.
This can then be processed into biogenic CO₂, which ends up in our cylinders. When you finally combine it with water under pressure using a water bubbler, the result is homemade, sustainable carbon dioxide.

The best thing about this ingenious process is that our circulation system only releases as much carbon dioxide as was previously removed from the atmosphere during the growth of the grain or sugar beet. As a result, the CO₂ content of the air does not rise any further and you can bubble up without hesitation and without end.
Our CO₂ cylinders are not only innovative, but are also among the most sustainable of their kind thanks to their biogenic carbon dioxide. If that doesn't make you thirsty for more!
