Where can I exchange or refill my SodaTASTE cylinder?
Which water carbonators are the SodaTASTE cylinders compatible with?
SodaTASTE's screw-in CO₂ cylinders are manufactured according to the European standard ISO 7866 and are therefore suitable for all common carbonators with a screw-in system. You can find a detailed list here. Electric devices and Quooker carbonators are not compatible with our screw-in cylinders.
Sodastream carbonators with a click-in system are also compatible with our innovative Quick Classic CO₂ cylinders. As the only provider of alternative Quick cylinders for Sodastream carbonators, we can even accept your empty Quick Connect cartridges (with a pink ring) for SodaTASTE exchange cylinders, thus offering you an even better price. These cartridges fit the Sodastream Duo, E-Duo, Terra, Art & Crystal 3.0 carbonators.
What do I do if my cylinder is empty and I need a new one?
You can easily exchange your cylinders for full versions after use via our online shop. You only pay for the refill.
For screw-on cylinders with and without flavoring, you'll find the right page here. If you need Quick Classic cylinders for your SodaStream carbonator with the Quick Connect system, we can help you here.

Exchange & Return
How does the return process work for exchanging empty CO₂ cylinders?
Which cylinders can I return as exchange cylinders?
With us, you can return not only original SodaTASTE cylinders (whether Classic or with Aroma) — we also accept screw-type cylinders from other providers.
And it gets even better: If you have so-called “Quick Connect cylinders” from Sodastream (the click-in type with a pink ring), we can accept those in exchange as well. Please note that in this case, you will most likely need our Quick Classic cylinders. These are compatible with Sodastream sparkling water makers that use the Quick Connect system.

Additionally, your cylinder must be functional — it should not have any holes, dents, or other major damage that would make it unusable.
Unfortunately, we cannot recycle old steel cylinders and therefore cannot accept them. Please make sure your cylinder is made of aluminum.
Is there a deposit if I only want to return empty cylinders?
In fact, there is still no deposit system for aluminum cylinders on the market – from any provider. To get started, you have to purchase a "purchase cylinder" or spare cylinder for full price (this includes the aluminum cylinder itself and the refill) and can then only exchange it at a lower price.
There is no deposit value like with PET bottles; it's more of a one-time payment to pay less in the future. Other manufacturers operate the same way: Sodastream, for example, charges around €32 for a simple standard Classic spare cylinder, and Kaufland (own brand) also costs around €20 for a new cylinder. So, we're not new to the market in this regard.
p>If you want to get rid of your cylinder, there are several options:
First, you can drop off your empty cylinders at any retail store where we are listed. This includes every Kaufland store, but also an increasing number of Edeka, Nahkauf, Marktkauf, and REWE stores, as well as more and more beverage stores.
You can also return such items to us (at your own expense) or drop them off at your nearest recycling center free of charge.
I have a request regarding SodaTASTE. Whom can I ask?
Where can I dispose of my SodaTASTE cylinder?
What should I do if the correct product was not sent to me?
Do I automatically get an exchange item if I return an item?
Are there any items excluded from return?
At SodaTASTE, we reserve the right to refuse a refund if items are not returned in their original or proper condition.
Please handle your cylinders and other items with care to ensure a return remains possible.
Returns are excluded in the following cases:
- Damaged cylinders (holes, dents, other damage)
- Dirty, painted, or sticker-covered cylinders
- Cylinders with removed valves
- New cylinders with opened or removed seal
- (We offer to measure the fill level of cylinders that have been used once. If the weight is still above the minimum level of 1180 g, we may offer a refund as a gesture of goodwill — previously listed conditions still apply.)
We kindly ask you to leave the packaging of water carbonators and bottles sealed/unopened if you wish to return them. The items must be unused, undamaged, and returned with all original tags/labels.
Can I return my goods?
Were you not entirely satisfied with your order? No problem, you can return your order to us at your own expense within 14 days of receipt by submitting a cancellation request.
Did you receive a faulty, defective, or even the wrong item? We're happy to help you at support@sodataste.com and will take care of your return slip and free return label as part of your complaint. To return, simply place all items together with the return slip in one package (this can be the original packaging) and affix the return label to the outside over the original sticker. (Using a different carrier is at your own expense.)

How should I store my SodaTASTE cylinders?
Since CO₂ is a gas that reacts sensitively to heat, you should ensure that your carbon dioxide bottles are not exposed to direct sunlight. The room temperature for your carbon dioxide should not exceed 50 degrees Celsius. Also, if possible, make sure that you store our aroma cylinders at temperatures below 35 degrees Celsius so that the natural fruit aroma thrives and the taste in the cylinder remains unchanged.
In general, your cylinders should be stored upright and in their original, unopened state in a well-ventilated place.
Can I fill my cylinder myself?
How can I check if my carbon dioxide cylinder is empty?
There are several ways you can tell if your CO₂ cylinder is empty. First, please make sure that the cylinder is screwed in correctly and, if necessary, tighten it again by turning it to the right. If there is still no carbon dioxide in the water and you don't hear a hiss when you press the button, the cylinder may be empty.
To check this, you can simply weigh it with a household scale. The weight of a full SodaTASTE cylinder is approx. 1200g. An empty cylinder, on the other hand, only weighs around 760g.
My cylinder appears to be broken. What can I do?
Basically, our cylinders should arrive to you in top condition. If you still have the feeling that something is wrong with one of your copies, please let us know.
Please write us a message at support@sodataste.com with an explanation of the problem and the serial number of the cylinder. You will find this engraved slightly under the neck of the bottle. It consists of 3 letters followed by 10 numbers (e.g. BHA0003473328).
Can I swap between multiple aroma cylinders at home?
Why doesn't my water taste exactly as described on the aroma cylinder page?
Why can't I find the raspberry flavor anymore?
When selecting our flavors, we continually consider many factors, including the cost of flavors and customer inquiries about individual varieties. In light of recent developments, we have decided to discontinue our raspberry variety.
However, this does not detract from the diversity of our product selection. It will soon be replaced by a new, deliciously flavorful variety with a similar visual appearance that will perfectly fill the gap.
