Traditional manufacturers of CO2 cylinders and soda makers often rely on syrup for flavour. This syrup can be mixed into sparkling water to sweeten the drink. However, almost all syrup varieties contain a large amount of sugar. Sugar is known to rapidly increase our blood sugar levels and elevate insulin production, leading to a range of health problems, including diabetes and high cholesterol.
Some varieties are now available as sugar-free syrup or organic syrup. At SodaTASTE, we wondered how we could make flavoured water even healthier – without sugar, without sweeteners, and still packed with flavour. That's when we came up with THE idea.
